sneaker pimps

My daughter has the most dramatic tantrums known to mankind, and for the most minute reasons. She's self-contained in most situations, except for when it comes to shoes and socks. She adores shoes and socks, but in a timely manner. You can offer her her favorite pair of sneakers, and she'd still get into a fit, sometimes due to the fact that you did not provide her with a matching pair of socks, or because she just felt like you were undermining her sense of style by even offering her a pair without her choosing upfront.

Can't wait 'til she starts dating.

things that make my man

I know I mention work a lot, but work has seriously been piling up on me. In the midst of my two full time jobs, I've taken up yet another freelance position as well as starting up my childrenswear label, Kidth, and handling Little Paper Crate. To release some tension building up in my awfully crowded mind, I decided to get back to drawing comics. Started on some rough drafts of a character I've grown to know and love and admittedly have attempted to kill at times - my husband.

He still needs a little work (haha), but I'm about to get him right.

free my mind

Been a busy week of coming up with shoutout posters and compiling Gin & Jacqie's next catalogue. You can tell from our latest poster that my mind is far from work....

sunshine in the dark

Whenever I get too sick of drawing or designing for clients, I always take a break to draw my kids. They're the epitome of awesome in my life.

making things happen

I had a small photoshoot for Kidth, my new childrenswear label, today. It was super fun because I got to see my kid in action, and man was she a natural! Of course, there were many chocolate bribes involved, but hey she got the job done in a very short amount of time!

Will share the images when done editing. Until then, goodnight, and keep living those dreams!

pimping in high places

An advert of mine that ran in a 'zine distributed at the Asian Festival of Children's Content last year.

kids are rainbow pooping wonders

Was having a tough week juggling work and the kids, and whenever it's tough on me, it's tough on them, too. So I thought I'd ease all our minds by bringing us three out for ice-cream. A chaos of dripping laughter ensued, and we were gladly drenched in sticky and delicious goo.

for the little ones that eat and doodle

The kids menu I designed for Marmalade Cafe. As a mom, let me tell you that activity menus are the best. Not only do they buy us parents some time to devour as much food as we can while the kids are engrossed in solving puzzles or coloring whites, they also make great artwork souvenirs to stick onto the fridge, especially those collected while on vacations.

old macdonald on a run

Three custom pieces that a mom ordered for her three gorgeous kids. Each print is designed based on the children's favorite animals. I had the hardest time with the dog layout, and "udder" fun with the cow one ^_^. But all in all, turned out really well if I do say so myself, and I love that other kids besides my own have my artworks proudly hanging in their bedrooms!
